I am restoring a 69 stang and I am not sure if I should use Rust desolver and a sealer or Rust Encapsulator. The areas that I want to treat have mild to heavy surface rust. I also want to spray inside areas I cannot really see well in (inside a frame rail, rocker panel for example) and it sounded like Rust desolver was the trick to remove the rust as it turns it into zinc. Can I then put some product directly on top of that to seal it from future rust?
If I use RE does it actually convert the rust to something that is not rust (zinc?) and then seal it in in one step? I guess I am confused as your web site lists rust desolver under rust removers and RE under rust prevention…..I want to remove and then prevent, and some areas I cannot clean after I spray it on…..advice?
Thanks!
