Well, today beats all. Had a customer call and ask if I could powder coat his calipers. I said sure, those are no problem. He then asked how long it would take and asked when he could bring the car in. I advised him that while we do build custom cars, we do not remove parts from customer cars, the customer is responsible for bringing the part to the shop. He then said, “Oh, can’t you do them while they are on the car?” I had all I could do not to laugh, and advised him that powder coating is a process in which you must bake the finish and that it would be impossible to do it while still on the car. His response was “Oh, thanks” and he hung up.
