I just painted my van with Eastwood’s single stage urethane (Jaded Green). I’ve got some runs and some orange peel. I applied 2 solid coats. The 18 hour window has long passed to apply the clear without abrading the surface. My question is what should I sand with to clean up the runs and orange peel textures. , what grit can I wet sand the metallic with? I’ve also read here that I should respray the van with one more coat before applying the clear coat. Is that necessary? I was also told to use 3M scuffit and a grey 3M pad instead of wet sanding.. Any helpful tips would be great. I’m using the Eastwood Concours gun with a 30 gallon compressor. I plan on using the Rat Rod satin clear coat. Thnx, 😎
