I’ve got a TR3 I’m doing a resto on, and the trunk lid has four 1/4″ holes in it. I guess they were put there to mount a luggage rack. Well I’m not into a luggage rack, so I’d like to weld the holes up.

What’s the best procedure for going about this. I have a MIG welder, and have welded some other holes in the body (from where a slide hammer was used to pull out some dents…not my doing), but nothing quite this big.
