i am painting a 50″ fiberglass r/c boat using auto air colors for my graphics. recently i purchased a quart of urethane clear coat “Omni AU MC260”. i realize its probably not the highest quality of clear but it should work fine for my application. any way, i’ve never shot urethane clear before and i’m wondering what the best technique is. can i apply several dust coats instead of wet coating or should i just shoot a couple of wet coats and hope it doesn’t run? given my experience i’m pretty confident that i’ll have a couple of runs if i wet coat. Also, when could i recoat if i let a coat dry over night? one last thing, if “when” i get a run can i just wet sand it out? sorry for the newbie questions and thanks in advance for any help.
