Total PC new guy. Why is hot flocking bad? Are fine scratches normal?

Hi guys thanks for taking the time to read. I understand that there is negative perception towards hot flocking but in all of my reading I can’t see why. I understand if your equipment is working correctly and setup is right you shouldn’t need to but is makes things alot easier for the basic gun when doing multicoats. Why is this looked on negatively?

Second question, I am using the Eastwood “super high gloss” clear and fine scratches (almost like swirl marks) happen easily. Am I undercuring or doing anything wrong? Or this normal?
