Y’all have probably answered a question like this one a thousand times, but I can’t find it.
I have a ’69 Mustang that I’m restoring and cut out part of my toe boards and floor pans because they were pretty bad. I cleaned up the area on the frame rail, the frame rail extension, and the torque box the best I could. Before I weld the new floor in place, I want to put some rust preventative on the new sheet metal and some rust control on the existing car parts. The bigest part that I’m concerned about is the large contact area between the torque box and the toe board, I’ve thought about using weld through primer, but there is existing rust on the torque box and I’ve thought about using the rust encapsulator, but don’t know about welding through it.
