The rear half of my project is in sanded filller (Rage) and bare metal. The next step was supposed to be epoxy primer but due to impending surgery I won’t be able to do that now. I read elswhere on the forum that rattlecan zinc etching paint is good for temporary protection. Can I later spray epoxy primer (Eastwood) over that zinc surface? If not what needs to be done or what alternative coating should I use over the unfinished surface? The car is in a garage.
    Thanks,

Found and went to the local auto body supply shop and talked with them. the short answer is to not put etching primer on anything that you later want to put epoxy primer over. So I will roll epoxy primer over the surface. Bought some really neat little rollers for rolling primer.
