Hi Eastwood. Here’s my situation.
Bought a fairly pristine 92 Buick Roadmaster Wagon, save for underside/frame rust.
It’s definitely cancer, but not terminal just yet.
A buddy of mine works at a shop and is willing to let me use his lift.
There are a lot of different products and I don’t understand them all. As best I understand, I need to first apply a “Rust Coverter” to the effected parts, then some sort of rust paint (POR15) on top of that?
Is the internal frame coating a viable product for frame-on rust mitigation?
Also, what are the dry times for the various stages?
For example, say I apply the rust converter… How much longer before I can apply the rust paint?
And how long for the rust paint to dry?
Sorry for so many questions but this is my first go at tackling underside rust.
