Hi,
I was just wondering if your Steering Wheel Repair kit will work on a SOFT vinyl/foam wheel?
I’m restoring a 70’s Pontiac Firebird “Formula” wheel, which is covered in a sponge-like vinyl foam. (At least i think it’s vinyl.) It’s kind of like the vinyl/foam in car armrests.
The foam/vinyl has deteriorated and is full of very small cracks and a few tiny holes. The cracks are such that they only need to be “spackled over” but the holes need filling.
Will your epoxy/repair kit work on this or can you recommend something else? I have heard that the epoxy becomes hard when cured and my wheel is semi-soft, so maybe that wouldn’t be too good an option.
Thanks!
/Joe
