Well I received my solder kit today and watched the CD. It all looks straight forward, or it did until I examined the things in the box. The DVD talks of using the TINNING BUTTER and TALLOW. In my kit, I received a jar of SOLDERING PASTE and a smaller jar of gray looking solution called FLUX-N-SOLDER.
So, I am going to take a stab at this and PREsume that the soldering paste is the same thing as tinning butter. I am going to also PREsume that the kit does not come with the tallow. I am just not sure about this flux-n-solder. With electronics and computers we used both acid and resin core solders for wiring and circuit boards. So please explain?
Also, can I powder coat over the leading process?
Regards.
