Seam sealer over welds?

    I know I just mentioned putting floor pans in my Olds, in a previous post but, I was told I need to apply a seam sealer over the top of my welds. What is this stuff and why is it better than using rust encapsulator or something siniliar.
    I’m not concerned with anything looking perfectly original as this will be a daily driver…
