On my Cobra replica I had several small aluminum parts that get body color – windshield defroster vents, side fender louvers, grill splitter. Because of the small size I used a spray can of Eastwood self etching primer without doing my homework. I then discovered I can’t seal self etching primer with epoxy primer – urethane primer should be used instead. I planned to use thinned epoxy primer for a seal coat.
Eastwood self etching primer is lacquer based – does this still hold true for it? What about sealing it wth a regular 2K sealer instead of urethane primer?
Thanks
Dan
