 Hey folks and a Happy New Year, I am restoring a 57 Metropolitan and I am curious as to the spotweld seams where the panels are joined, I cannot imagine pulling all the seams apart as it would make quite a mess and then putting it back together with all the holes from the spot remover. I did remove a piece that holds the trunk seal and wow rusty, also no paint seems that the paint would get in the way of welding. I am thinking and only thinking about pouring shellac varnish over the seams in hope of getting some coverage. Your opinions are welcome very welcome.
Regards
Jim
