I have an ’84 ElCamino that has the factory the paint and a poor, quickie, repaint. There are some surface rust spots, on hood, corners on matching topper, where wiper blade hits hood edge when going to rest position. It will be a while before I can afford a paint job. How do I protect these areas in the mean time. I’m thinking “rust encapsulation” on these spots. Am I on the right track? I don’t mind a few small primer spots if this will do the job until I can do a complete paint job.
