don’t laugh guys, i’m restoring a king midget and replacing all the sheet metal. here’s my delima originally the fenders were spot welded to the hoods, bare metal to bare metal. over the years of course water gets between the fender and the hood and rusts through both . i am going to plug weld the fenders to the hood and would like to do something to at least slow down rusting in the space between. if i prime and paint the contact area welding is not going to go good. is there a way of sealing this to keep out water? can some one offer a better suggestion?
