Let me start off by saying I love this forum ! Now, I am building a custom frame for a streetrod and I want to coat it with something durable and I don’t want to have to do it over anytime soon . The car will only be outdoors when it is driven , only in nice weather . The steel of the frame is not rusty and I am wondering if I need to use the rust encapsulator or not . Can I use the E.W. self etching primer over the bare steel and then the Extreme Chassis Black over that ? Or do I need to start with the E.W. Rust Encapsulator over the bare steel and then the E.W. Extreme Chassis Black ? I want the best long term results but I don’t want to waste any money on something that’s not needed . How would you do it if it were yours ? Thanks .
