I’m making all new body work to turn a standard abused/neglected BMW K100RS into a Cafe Racer for a client. The engine has already been redone and is reportedly a screamer. The bodywork should be striking (his design) but regardless of all the finishing/painting/buffing/waxing I do, the K100RS (flying brick) is corroded to “real UGLY”. BTW, these engines are typically very prone to becoming this way. He doesn’t want to buff, bead blast, or paint the outside cases, but does want them more original looking and protected from further corrosion.
I have been thinking of using some Gibbs Penetrant to see if that would do the job, but am definitely open to any suggestions.
