I got a chance to shoot some of the new red sparkle today. It looks great. Something that I feel needs to be mentioned is the catalog refers to it as opaque, it becomes opaque if you lay it on real heavy, but is realy more of a transparent color. On a pulley that I did I could see the sanding marks, the deeper pits, and the depth of the stamped numbers on it. I dont think this is a bad thing, it just needs to be mentioned. Over chrome it looks like anodized sprakle. If the part you are coating is completly uniform you’ll be fine, but if there are any scuff marks or you want to add depth to it you may want to shoot 2 stage reflective chrome then the sparkle. I have not tried it over reflective chrome just real chrome but I would think it could go over it.
