I am in the process of rebuilding two quadjet Rochester marine carbs. I believe I made a mistake by over cleaning. After I finished cleaning, I noticed a statement in the Mercruiser repair manual that I should be carefull not to remove the yellowish/orange coating on the internal parts, I only removed it in one carb when I saw the notice. is this a spray type coating? or a process that requires dipping? Etc. and if you have this product or process.and if you know the chemical name. I need your expertise. I have already purchased (from eastwood) cans of carb renew # 10179 and #10187 and other paints. for other parts of my engines.

    thankyou for your time

    Steve
