I am an old dude..recently retired and wanting to restore an old car. The problem is..when I was a kid there was basically one type of primer (from memory)..it was a one- part lacquer-based gray primer (no hardner)…pretty simple. Now I am confused..it seems like there are so many different primers and I don’t know which to use on what application and I do not understand their individual characteristics. To make matters worse I live in California and everytime I look at a primer on your web site it says you cannot sell it to me!!!! I AM VERY FRUSTRATED…PLEASE HELP ME!
