I need some information or direction on primers and prep. Have new body panels that are electro-galvinized the manufacturer recomends an etching primer Dupont variprime 615S/625S or ppg DLF epoxy primer after preping. Where I am on my other parts I have used eastwood polyester primer surfacer and sealed with the 1:1 gray epoxy. I would prefer to stick with the same sealer and eastwood products on these parts but am unsure on compatability of etching primers and the epoxy as a sealer. These panels are a tailgate with stamped lettering and bed sides for a 52 chevy pickup so hand sanding in the prep portion is a given unless someone has a suggestion on maybe a liquid etching/ prep product that would work.
