    Hey all,
I’m having a really hard time pricing things. Mostly I’m doing things around the house for practice, and I have a life/other hobbies so my time is valuable to me.
I’ve done a few paying jobs, and some free, but I have a hard time coming up with a price when a “Customer” approaches me. How do you guys do it? Flat rate + materials + hours etc…? Or just a flat hourly rate? I was going to charge $75 for something coming up but my girlfriend suggested $200 minimum. I’m stuck.
Also, anything I coat is about 2 hours to do. Clean part, shoot and cleanup. Not including wetsanding GD pinholes and lint. I wouldn’t charge time for post cleanup, thats my responsibility I believe. Some guys charge 5 and 10 dollars for stuff that would take me a couple of hours to do. Not worth it for a money maker if you ask me. Doing it like that makes me less interested in doing it for money, and just keeping it for myself and my stuff.
Any pricing ideas would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Shane
