Hey all;
I just finished building a small buggy for my Son, and wanted to send the frame out for powder coating because it’s too large for my oven. I told the local powder here that I would bring the frame sandblasted and ready to spray and bake.
My problem is that I live in Canada, and we just got a bunch of snow, so sandblasting is out of the question because I do this outside.
Can I chemically prep the steel ?
I use phosphoric acid when prepping metal for paint, but wasn’t sure if I could do the same for powder coating.
I’d appreciate any tips, because I don’t want to wait for nice weather to get this thing coated.
Thanks, Dan
