We build custom electronic equipment. The chassis are made from .080 aluminum in our shop. We used to paint the chassis, but have started to switch over to powder coating.
On a couple of the chassis fish eyes have appeared. This is odd because we clean that chassis with Break Clean, then dry with filtered compressed air. We only handle the chassis with gloves. So we are doing something wrong somewhere.
Here is our prep method:
Put nitrile gloves on
Tack cloth chassis
Spray with brake clean
Any suggestions for improvement?
Also any suggestions for a spray cleaning chemical that is known to work? I am in Canada, and it is difficult to get the eastwood spray cleaners across the border.
