Two peices I’m getting ready to powdercoat. One is the factory aluminum thermostat housing, the other is a temp sender adapter I fabricated from a bung and a piece of 1 & 1/2″ steel. The question applies to both pieces. How does cured powder take to antifreeze? Obviously I’m not so concerned with the factory aluminum piece, but the steel piece I built I feel will rust and send crap though the rest of the system, I’d like to clean it and powdercoat it to prevent or at least slow this process. So, how does cured powder take to antifreeze and everything else a cooling system will throw at it? Thanks again guys.
