Forgive me if this has been covered somewhere – I did a search on multiple key words and combinations….
I do alternator restorations and some other odds and ends electric work. The alternators I mostly do are Motorola from AMC products. They originally came with plated pulley and fan, looks like clear zinc, like the hardware store bolts of old. Everything I find is too gray, etc. – I’ve tried the cast aluminum, even that is more gray or darker.
I’ve got probably 4 different bottles of Eastwood powders I’ve tried, including platinum, which looks beautiful on them and I get compliments, but it’s too blue, not the correct color.
