I’ll be powder coating 2 sets of magnesiun valve covers this weekend. One set will be done in 10089 Translucent Blue which requires the use of 10102 Argent Silver Base. I’ve done this on many parts in the past, no problem.

The other set of valve covers will get coated with 10097 Cast Aluminum.
My question is would they be any reason to use Argent Silver on this set too or would I just be wasting time and powder?
From the catalog it isn’t a requirement, just wondering if the end result would look better or if it would last longer?

    Thanks in advance.
