I have a set of magnesium valve covers that I’m getting ready to powder coat. I’ve done magnesium valve covers before, however this set has a 2 small imperfections in the casting. I know that I can buy the Lab-Metal high temp filler to fix the little divots. I only need a very very small amount, not the 24oz ($55/can) size.
Has anyone ever tried using Permatex Liquid Metal filler? Will powder stick to it, will it stand up to the 400°F cure temp?
Thanks in advance for helping.
