I have a 1985 Merku XR4Ti that has some type of plastic body cladding on it. Not sure what it’s made of. The cladding has a plastic strip that fits into the cladding (it snaps in about 3/4″ wide). The paint is chipped off in one area and it looks like the base material is white!(PVC?) I want to paint these strips a silver color. They won’t flex after they are installed but the installation will require flexing to get them back into the cladding.
Any ideas on what to paint these with so the paint won’t pop off when reinstalling them?
