    Hi there,
I’m trying to seal a piece of zinc jewelry so that it won’t tarnish, using Eastwood Diamond Clear. After cleaning the surface with isopropyl alchohol, I put several coats on and let it cure for several days, and that held for several months, until it came off all in one piece.

Is there a way that I can prepare the zinc beforehand, or something, that could improve its durability?

I’ve seen references to baking on finishes in an oven at 175-200F for an hour for a harder finish. Is this recommended?

    Thanks for the help!
