Recently read the email titled, Painting Your Car. However, I am painting a fiberglassed body ’34 Ford and am considering doing the job myself using Auto Air Colors paint. The car is in pieces; body, doors, trunk lid, hood etc. I am sure some of the prep work is the same but I also feel some prep work on fiberglass will be different. The body was gelcoated at the factory. Also, the right front fender is not as smooth as I want it to be, how do I fill it in to make it smooth, body filler? Being retired gives me the time mecessary to prepare the car properly for painting. I just need to know the proper way to attack the problems.
