I’ve been getting my truck ready for paint and have a question. My shop is not big enough to paint the entire truck at the same time. I’d like to take the bed and hood off and also the tailgate but space limits me to the size of the truck alone. My question is can I paint the truck in two steps over a few weeks? I’d like to paint the bed, tailgate and wheel wells one day and the cab/hood maybe a few weeks later. I’m using base/clear and this will be my first complete job so I don’t have the experience to control different environmentals. Will I regret it or is there no problem. I guess my main concern is the bed and cab coming out slightly different colors even if I use the paint from the same can. What do you think?
