I have been using Eastwood products for years & overall I have to say i am satisfied. Oxysolve is a very good product & from what I understand Eastwood claims it is ok to use it as a pretreatment under automotive primer. I also understand you are supposed to use Eastwood “Pre” just before priming but this is a wax & grease remover & will not remove oxysolve. My question is does anyone know of an automotive paint company, PPG,Dupont or R&M etc. which recommends the use of a product like this under their primers. All the companies I have delt with strictly advise against this action. They all recommend their product be applied to freshly sanded bare metal or their warranties will be voided.
