On a new cast intake manifold , do you keep it in the oven ( when outgassing ) until it stops smokin? I did one tonight ( Edelbrock performer ) and it smoked for almost an hour! Had some serious fumes with it, too! On a rough cast piece like that, will the pc fill in most of the rough areas? I explained to the cust it might not, but he didn’t seem to care if it didn’t. What are the pro’s and con’s for shooting this hot vs cold? I want to shoot cold and grounded, but I’ve read someone said they shoot warm to make sure the pores are still open for a smoother finish. Suggestions or ideas?
