Hi, I’m new to powder coating and having mixed results.
I have the hot coat system and so far have only used the gloss black that the kit came with. The steel parts that I’m coating come out beautiful, but the aluminum parts have what look like tiny bubbles in the paint. These parts have been wire wheeled down to bare metal and then cleaned with brake cleaner.
I’ve followed the instructions in the manual–oven temp at 450 until the parts look shiny, and then 400 for 20 minutes. Is there something about aluminum that I should do differently?? Help!
Thanks
