So I am working on a project (wheels) that need to be masked and a section painted a separate color. (Not two piece wheels) The lip will be white and the spokes (solid cast wheel) will be black. I have some high temperature masking tape but I am getting a situation where the first coat I lay down then mask over is showing what looks like residue of the tape glue but it is baked into the first coat and not removable. Should I use the brush method? Or tin foil or something? Maybe I didn’t get a complete bake on the first color? I was taking the tape off after a few minutes in the oven and then proceeding to bake it fully.
