I have painted vehicles in the past, about 25 years ago, but have never used the newer tecniques.
I tried painting my truck bed with an HVLP gun and a basecoat/clearcoat and have run into a problem. When I paint the large flat panels(bedside) I get alot of overspray or fuzz drying on the surface. This forced me to sand it down and get it ready to paint again. I do not have this problem on the smaller areas like the tops of the rails and the front and rear of the bed.
I mixed the paint (Deltron DBU)according to specs. and think I have the gun properly adjusted, but I’m not sure. I have noticed that this paint dries extremely fast.
What am I doing wrong.
