Need some advice.
I am a novice when it comes to true metal body working. I have welded in pre-made patch panels and made small relatively straight patches. Here’s the thing, I am getting into my next project car and discovered that the cowling and metal around the drivers side windshield pillar need replaced. I have purchased a new cowling, but will need to make the rest of the patch pieces. My question is, I saw EW was having a sale on a shrink/stretching machine and everything I read says I can’t do without it. It looks to me that the unit is only good for smaller jobs. Is that correct? Also I understand the principles of the unit for making inside and outside curves, but how about sharp bends and such? Sorry if these are dumb questions, but you’ve got to start somewhere.
Thanks for the help.
