I bought the Concours HVLP Gun with a 1.2 tip @ 4CFM for my home compressor. I was super excited to give it a go. I set up the gun like recommended, 30 PSI at the inlet, cleaned the gun before use with solvents. I added air filters for dry air. I set up the gun, but for some reason, I’m getting splatter paint instead of a nice even flow of paint. I figured, my fluid control knob is not set. I adjust my fluid knob as far at it can go, fully open.

Well…. disappointing, it shoots like if concours sneezed the paint on my project. I painted my project anyways, thinking the paint was going to flow and once it settles, its going to look nice. NOPE!!! My project looks like a big *** orange thanks to the concours gun.

What’s going on with the gun? Is the paint I’m using. I’m using Duplicolor PaintShop black, no mixing required .Can someone help me on this?
