Hi, have some questions about painting an engine compartment. I pulled the motor out of my mustang and welded all the unecessary holes. I then sand blasted the entire engine bay and shot it it with PPG etching primer. Then i used body filler to cover the welded and repaired spots and i am now ready to paint. Questions are: should i use high build primer next? (my thought is that it will be hard to sand in the complex and tight areas of the bay..) or can i paint right over the etching primer? And what type of paint system should i use, single stage or a base and clear system? Thanks for the help.
