Ok,
I apologize in advance you have most likely answered this question before. I just purchased a new mig welder at the Alsip Il. store.
My question.
I will be welding in a small sheet metal patch in the roof of a 2004 mustang. I am concerned about hurting the electronics of the car itself. I heard disconnect the battery cables and place the ground as close as possible to the weld area.
Do you have any other thoughts to help prevent damaging the cars electronics?
I have to fix a dent on the roof area of the car as well,so I plan on grinding that area to use as the welders ground,so the ground will be very close the the area to be welded.
Thank you for your time,
mike
