need some advise on removing light corrosion from a SST aircraft firewall. Firewall is constructed from .050 sheet and is 42 years old. Its showing some light corrosion that can be removed with scotch brite in the open flat areas. Problem is that the firewall has many intricate areas that do not lend themselves to scotchbrite / elbow grease type of treatment. I was considering media blasting and was wondering which type of media to use on .050 SST. Also curious about Eastwood rust dissolver and Oxisolv. Also came accross a Mil-spec product that is essentially an acid -etch type of liquid. Any ideas would be appreciated.
