Hey guys, I am fairly new to powdercoating. I am looking to do it mainly for my own personal use, but also maybe as a side job. Depending on my local demand for the service, it could grow into something more.

I have tons of questions, so please bear with the newbie. LOL.

What is a good general media to use for blasting? Something that will work good with steel, aluminum, and other common metals.

What is a good prep procedure to ensure a good powdercoat after blasting? What types of cleaners should be used? What types of cleaners should I stay away from? Bascially looking for the steps to prepare a part for powder.

I have done a lot of reading on this forum. I am curious as to how you determine a partial cure time. Also, when you guys do two colors, do you do a full cure time on the first color?

I am sure I am gonna have tons more questions, but that is enough for now. Haha.

    Thanks

    Shawn
