I did a few searches and could not find any opinions on the subject. I am fabricating from new steel. I am going to wire brushing and then using steel wool. Then cleaning the part. Out gas. Cleaning again then powder coating. Isn’t that good enough to get it to stick? Is the sandblasting just for speed and cleaning off things rusty or previously coated?
I saw a video of someone taking a chrome part and just cleaning it, not scuffing it at all, and he got it to stick.
I really don’t have the space right now for a blast cabinet. I have to do with what I have.
