Well, I’ve been working on this side cover for my motorcycle. Its aluminum, and Ive been polishing it and I cant get results I’m happy with. Heres what I’ve been doing:
Sand with 320g – smooth it out, big straches out
Sand with 800g
Sand with 1500g
Buff the 1500g straches out on my buffer with 8″ loose sewn wheel and white rouge compound. (I found it shines better if I skip the tripoli and go straight to white rough after sanding with 1500)
The finish is still foggy. I dont see any straches. I want it to shine more. Any ideas for me ? I thought of trying to sand with 2000g ?
