I am installing a steel cowl induction hood scoop on a stock steel hood. It is flanged at the base around the perimeter. I have punched holes every 1.5 inches in the flange and will use these holes to weld the scoop to the hood. Body filler will be necessary on the exterior to blend the scoop to the hood. The question I have is: How would you seal the inside of the scoop where it meets the hood? I will have a hole about 14″ in diameter under the scoop that could be used for access under the scoop.
