I am new to this and would like to start in PC with my restoration of my 70 nova. I am concerned with powder coating items in the engine bay. My car will be for drag racing and show so I want it to look nice, but I am worried about the temps in the engine compartment. I see that the curing temps are around 400 degrees and I was wondering if items close to the headers would melt or flake off if the heat got higher than that. Are there special powders for high heat areas, or does the powder withstand the higher temps after curing?
