Am beginning restoration of 1982 Ferrari. Would like to take the engine down to seperate pieces, clean, inspect and replace parts as needed (while trying to keep costs down).
Am tagging everything I can for reassembly, taking digital pictures, and refering to the factory manuals.
My question is in regard to the steps in cleaning and prep of the aluminum engine block and components. I’d like a good clean final appearance on all parts though don’t know if I’d go the extent of a “mirrored” finish I’ve seen in some of the pictures on the buffing thread but something a little better. Any thoughts?
