I’m doing a set of rims in standard reflective chrome followed by clear. After clearing the chrome and curing it at 375 for 20min i opened the hatch to the oven and a ton of smoke poored out. I dont no where, how, or even why this smoke built up in the oven as I had no problem with the first stage of powder. I pulled the wheels out and there is a gold hue present in the finish. I now need to recoat them and need advice in how to approach this with out losing my *** any more on this job. Would you guys recommend stripping, blasting, recoating, or wet sanding and recoating. I’m going to use single stage this time around. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
